NIS attending ILMA

Oct19

“It was an exciting few days at ILMA (Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association)…. A great turnout of representatives from across the grease, oil and metal working fluids markets… With both excellent keynote speakers and a wide range of presentations and panels covering the full gambit of varied issues impacting today’s lubricants industry.

…. and, of course, that wonderful Florida sunshine was a big hit as well!”

About ILMA
Since 1948, the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) has been the voice of member companies that produce more than a quarter of the nation’s automotive lubricants and three-quarters of its metalworking fluids for customers who use their products to improve performance and increase efficiency.

Our members make specialized lubricants for everything from backhoes to bone screws. Their products keep planes in the air; cars on the road; and the machines in businesses, households and hospitals running efficiently. Without lubricants and metalworking fluids, American businesses and manufacturing would grind to a halt.

Through our enforceable Code of Ethics, ILMA promotes integrity and quality in lubricant manufacturing and marketing.

Our top priority is providing the safest, highest-quality products to customers for industrial, transportation and household use. We support policies based on sound science, rigorous analysis and common sense that keep our customers, employees and communities safe, while protecting our business model — providing individual solutions for our customers’ needs.

ILMA also serves as a technical and educational resource to members, their customers and lawmakers.

For decades, our members’ scientists have deepened the pool of research and enriched the technical and educational resources that inform our members, our industry and lawmakers.

NIS at ICIS Chicago Sept 12-13

Sep11

NIS team member Dan Shea will be at the ICIS Base Oils & Lubricants Conference in Chicago the next two days. Email us at info@nisusacorp.com if you’re attending!

About ICIS ase Oils & Lubricants Conference
This meeting forms part of the ICIS Base Oils & Lubricants Portfolio. Every year we have 8 events spanning the globe focusing on the individual challenges of either base oils and automotive lubricants, or the industrial sector. The Chicago congress has carved a niche for itself by offering a deeper insight in to the world of industrial finished lubricants. Focused further down the value chain and offering diverse perspectives on improving productivity and efficiency through advanced formulation and technical insight in to specific applications. This is complemented with market outlook whilst considering supply, demand and new capacity as drivers for industry growth. An essential meeting place for those involved in the industrial lubricants value chain at a senior level in both technical and commercial divisions to come together to discuss the future of the sector.

The demand for high performance and innovation in the industrial lubricants market is being driven by regulation alongside evolving end-user requirements. Just what does this mean for the selection and formulation process? Alongside this is the evolution of sustainable and bio-based products as creating environmentally acceptable lubricants becomes a priority.

The ICIS & ELGI North American Industrial Lubricants Congress provides the ultimate platform to discuss and debate the key challenges facing the sector. Take a deep dive into specific applications and the impact of REACH regulation and registration on the availability of chemicals, and the formulations they supply, this is the only event of its type covering both technical and commercial topics.

NLGI Round up

Jun14

“We had a terrific time meeting new and familiar faces at this years NLGI,” says Leslie Hewlett. During the four day event we had the great privilege to have our very own Elena McDaniel present a paper on Tuesday to a very receptive crowd. If you attended or would like to know more about what was presented, please email info@nisusacorp.com

NIS at NLGI

Jun10

NIS team members Elena McDaniel and Leslie Hewlett will be attending the NLGI Annual Meeting from June 10- 13th. If your attending make sure to visit Elena McDaniel’s technical presentation on Tuesday at 9:45 am.

NLGI is a not-for-profit trade association, primarily composed of companies who manufacture and market all types of lubricating grease. Membership is by company rather than by individual. Associated with the manufacturers are companies who serve them with equipment, supplies, and services. Additionally, there are research and educational groups and member companies whose interests are primarily technical. Another category for membership – Consumer – is for organizations that are users of lubricating grease. The Institute thus works continuously to strengthen its association by rendering service to the end-user of grease as well as those on the manufacturing side.

NIS has another successful Independent Field Test

Jul08

After running their diesel engines during normal working hours and conditions it was proven that when added, NanoLub® AC-1000 AW/AF additive reduced metal to metal contact eliminating elements that can cause friction. While using NanoLub® AC-1000 AW/AF additive the Generoca team saw a dramatic decrease in wear based on the almost none existent metal particles in the samples they took. This was the most evident in the case of lead particles with started at 3 PPM and was reduced to 0 PPM!

While effectively increasing both Zinc and Phosphorus agents of Generoca’s current lubricating oil; which also act as Anti-Wear and Anti-Oxidants, NanoLub® AC-1000 AW/AF additive’s dispersion characteristics were able to suspend dirt and other containments such as Silicon to prevent any additional clinging to internal metals which when not constantly maintained could form a sludge-like build up. Simultaneously, Generoca also found our additive increased TBN to counter act the acids which cause oxidation and showed less corrosion characteristics.

Our NanoLub® AC-1000 AW/AF additive directly contributed to over $18,000 in additional monthly energy and profit. With these results Generoca is estimating they will have close to $221,000 in additional energy and profit by the end of the year just by adding NanoLub® to one of their diesel engines.

NIS anuncia a LUVAL como distribuidor autorizado

Jun10
